Text

As mentioned in previous entries, text is very important to the structure, story and style of Railway.

I want the text to evoke the character of 'Moira', to tell her story but leave a lot unsaid at the same time. The language needs to be slightly archaic to suit the mood of the piece. I see the railway being a steam railway station, and the costume and props will also evoke this. However, I do not want this to come across so strongly that it is integral to Railway.

This is the first draft of the script for the piece (click to enlarge):

After deciding that I am not going to start with my head in the suitcase the start of the text doesn't feel right any more. I am going to keep working on the script along with my movement.
