6.15am, Wednesday 6th May
Oldfield Park Station
Commuters waiting for train to Bristol, some women in suits, lots of men with bikes. Not many people talking. Early morning hangs in the air. More people arrive as half past 6 approaches. Two women talking, a snatched moment from their conversation:
"It's not Tuesday, it's Wednesday!"
She says it excitedly, without anything before or after it. It's not that she or her friend has mistaken it for Tuesday, it's just an exclamation that it's not Tuesday, but Wednesday.
I may use this fragment of speech in my solo. More on that another day.
